Our schools provide a high level of education with a quality teaching staff and learning resources such us a library, a connected computer room, and an art and craft workshop which will help develop the children creativity. Our goal is no school fees, in house learning materials, clothing, and transportation as they are significant challenges for low-income families. We organize extracurricular activities and summer camps to encourage talent development and community events. Our school organizes career fair to promote internship opportunities in Kinshasa.
Public schools in the Congo have no cafeterias. Children must buy lunch off the street. To improve our student nutrition, we engage in organic farming and horticulture to feed our students and improve the situation. Most people in the DR Congo live off agriculture, related activities, and minor commerce. We work with farming communities to bring irrigation solutions in exchange for local produce supply. Our schools will use the fertile soil and tropical weather that promotes food security to feed our school cafeteria to maintain a stable protein and mineral intake for our students.
The Congo is gifted with a hydroelectric dam capable of powering Africa, but the power is a significant concern in the DRC school. . Giving attention to sustainable energy solutions is essential to the operation and maintenance of our schools. We use wind turbines, solar panels, biogas tanks to lower our dependence on grid power. With power, we can add a computer room and connect our school to the world, which is how we make an impact. Potable water is absent from most schools and towns despite an impressive river network. We equip our schools with a water tower and water treatment system which will serve the surrounding community greatly.
Our academies are designed to host up to 150 student and staffs to alleviate the harsh the transport problem. Additionally, 15 guest accommodation to offset the school operating burden and staff remunerations. Adding to the financial need is the exposure that the surrounding communities can enjoy following the visitors interested in our off grid organic farming operations or seeing how our students are educated. Local commerce can then directly profits from the guests staying in the school campus but also indirectly via social media content and promotions.
